I love coming here. It gets me out of the house. It gets me physically active and keeps my mind working. There’s a big social aspect, as well as physical and emotional. It helps my heart.

After my stroke, I was in a nursing home for a while. I’ve been coming here for a long time. My sister found this place. I was born in 1949 in Montana. My husband is from Texas. We met over the phone. I was selling software and his company bought our software. I called him to talk about it and we had such a good time that we just had to meet. We’ve been together ever since. He’s very supportive of me.

Coming here, this place raises people out of their funk. It helps you to see what is real. This is a wonderful place. I love coming here. We disabled people don’t have a lot to do, and this gives us a place to go.
