AmeriCorps Placement: Full Life Care Solstice Behavioral Health Wellness Coordinator

I help to coordinate the Solstice Studio program, where adults with disabilities can come to socialize and engage in art and wellness activities.

I decided to join AmeriCorps because I wanted to give back to my community in a meaningful way. I joined Full Life’s team because I have always enjoyed working with kids with disabilities, and wanted to experience working with an older population.

I like being a part of the Full Life Care AmeriCorps team because we are a close-knit and supportive team.

One of my favorite memories so far of engaging with clients is seeing the progression and change of each individual.

My favorite part of my service experience is getting to know people from all walks of life and seeing life from their point of view.
